While in administrative, operational, and leadership roles, I have had many really interesting projects come my way. These were projects that may have initially had to do with design, but during the execution stage, had grown into more than just design. These projects were a result of needing to meet a requirement outside of design to get the job done. During the last decade, I have held director and executive roles, typically in the design field. Often in these roles my duties would spill over into operations, outreach, partnerships, or administration, as the task at hand was more complicated or nuanced than creatives or asset management. Whether it was extensive research, troubleshooting 3rd party software, formatting documents in administration, outreach & negotiations in partnerships, or even in one case lobbying the federal trade commission, I have had some interesting experiences while executing high level concepts. These are the top five special projects or unique experiences I have come across as a consultant, entrepreneur, board member, and creative director.
