Illustration
Designed from scratch
For as long as I can remember, I have been sketching, drawing, coloring, and illustrating. It's one of the core tenants of design, creating art from scratch. In school I focused on fine art, as well as digital. Theres something special about creating art in this way and it's one of my favorite ways to spend my time.

For me, illustration is all about capturing the essence of an idea and bringing it to life in a visually compelling way. I have been drawing, sketching, and illustrating for my entire life. I've worked with clients across a wide variety of industries, and I'm dedicated to delivering work that meets their unique needs and goals. Whether you need illustrations for a book, infographics, or any other project, I'm here to help. Let's work together to create something amazing!
Illustrations
Here are some recent digital Illustrations that were prepared for clients. All were designed, colored and laid out in Illustrator, working between a tablet and laptop. All of the files are assembled in vector files, allowing complete control of the design should any edits take place after delivery.
NR Cannabinoid System
New Remedies Education required a lot of media in order to activate at all of the potential touchpoints. These illustrations of the cells, systems and synapses taking place were designed to be used in a variety of layouts between digital and physical layouts. By building all of the parts in vector in extreme detail, I was able to reconfigure the images easily to lay them out for each delivery.
Tribal Message /
Live Freely • Love Freely
This client produces a line of LGBTQ+ oriented greeting cards under the brand Tribal Message. As well as an apparel line under Live Freely • Love Freely. I helped develop Illustrations and layouts for cards and apparel. I had the opportunity to develop branding and the layouts for silk screen for some of the apparel. These were fun to design with a lot of color. The horse turned out to be pretty technical in the layout of the screens especially as I had to really develop the relationship between the positive and negative space in order to make sure the high detail horse shape have a realistic style and have the mane remain the focus.

Character Design
I've been drawing characters, animals, creatures, and concepts since I was a child. It's something I really enjoy, and always love it when I get the opportunity. Here are some recent characters I developed for clients.
Interactive Childrens Book
A client came to me wanting to create the front end design for an interactive children's book. This meant I needed to not only design the characters and background, but I needed to make sure they could interact with each other and animate. This was an interesting job and I got to combine illustration and ui skills. The way the characters were laid out for animation, I used the term marionette when presenting the concept.

To do this, each joint has up to four layers with a foreground the matches and a background that matches. When they move over the layer below, it gives the impression the shape is blended and moving without making the edge visible while moving. All of the hands, arms, legs, shoes, and items the characters are holding, were modular and interchangeable in order to assemble them based on the page content.
Another important element discussed while developing the art, was to enable diversity in the product. Each component was exported in a variety of matched skin tones in order to best represent a diverse experience for users.
